Our vacation rental homes are great for dog adventures in Joshua Tree National Park or just walking right out the door and into the natural Mojave Desert. A real home is a much warmer family and pet environment that any hotel room could ever be.

I always advise our guests about common sense pet issues. As a country visitor to the big city should be advised that a leash keeps dogs and traffic separate and scooping poop is the law; we at Joshua Desert Retreats let our guests know that a fully fenced 5 acres of desert is not designed to keep a dog in (or the coyotes at night out). And that rattle snakes are in hibernation all winter (so don’t worry), but be able to call the dog back if there’s a summer snake encounter (though no guest with pet has ever yet encountered one).

Dogs and their guests have a great time here with wide open spaces and beautiful weather. We have a $50 cleaning fee for each four-legged furry child, no additional security deposit.
